Reproductionoviparous
TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.26.93 (type of Draco punctatus, Sarawak, Malaysia, Asia, donor: A Everett)
Diagnosis
CommentSynonymy: Inger (1983) considered Draco punctatus as a synonym of Draco cristatellus but McGuire et al. 2018 revalidated D. punctatus based on DNA sequence data obtained from the holotype. However, they didn’t really sort out the distribution of punctatus vs. fimbriatus.

Distribution: the range of punctatus is largely overlapping with that of fimbriatus. McGuire et al. 2018 do not show the localities of their samples on a map and they had no samples of fimbriatus from Borneo (on which IUCN shows both species across the whole island).
