Type locality: Bolkar Dagi, Km 75 along the Taurus Rd.
Bozanti-tarsus (S Turkey).

TypesSyntypes: unlocated (Mahlow et al. 2013). 
DiagnosisOriginal Diagnosis: “Unterscheidet sich von dem sympatrischen und nächstverwandten Eirenis modestus durch die im Alter nicht völlig erblassende Pileus- und Halszeichnung; weiter durch die auffallend deutlichen und breiten temporalen Spitzen und parietalen Stege, sowie die großen gularen Eiflecken; Ventraliazahl niedriger, Subcaudaliazahl höher; GL geringer.” 
CommentApparently not listed in the Zoological Record of 1918-1919. SCHMIDTLER & SCHMIDTLER 1978 give 1917 as the year of description. Closely related to E. modestus cilicius and molecularly nested within E. modestus (NAGY et al. 2004).
