Diagnosis 
CommentSpecimens from Bomassa (Congo) were dark brown or pale blue (K. Jackson, pers. comm.).

Distribution: For a map with localities in Equatorial Guinea see SÁNCHEZ-VIALAS et al. 2022. Reports from Tunisia may be based on confusion with Sphenops boulengeri.

Limb morphology: Limbless.

Type species: Feylinia currori GRAY 1845: 129 is the type species of the genus Feylinia GRAY 1845. Feylinia is also the type genus of the subfamily Felininae CAMP 1923. REcent authors have included the Feylininae in Scincinae though (e.g. Lambert et al. 2014).

EtymologyNamed after the collector of the type, “J. Curror” fide Gray 1845, but most likely collected by Andrew Beveridge Curror (1811–1844), see Figueiredo & Gideon 2020.
