Distribution	Myanmar (= Burma), Vietnam Type locality: Karen-choung, near Toungoo, Myanmar (= Burma).

Types	Types: lost, according to Smith (1935)
Diagnosis
Comment	Distribution: The presence of this species outside Myanmar has been questioned (ZUG et al. 2007). Specimens from NE India (Assam, Toungoo) appear to be misidentifications (MAHONY & ZUG 208).
Etymology	Named after the Karens, a hill tribe in Myanmar (Beolens et al. 2011).
