Diagnosis
Comment	external ear opening present; 24–26 mid- body scale rows; 20–21 lamellae under toe IV; broad brownish dorsal band terminates at tail-base, where it forms a dark tip; and pale dorsal stripes absent (from DAS & AUSTIN 2007). Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
Etymology	The specific name occidentalis (Latin) refers to the western distribution of this species.
