Diagnosis 
CommentStatus unclear: Wynn et al. (2016) recommended not to include M. koekkoeki in the genus Malayotyphlops and consider it as “incertae sedis”. 
EtymologyNamed after Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek (1873-1944), a Dutch illustrator and painter who worked at Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Histoire, Leiden (1918-1938).
