Distribution	W Colombia (Choco) Type locality: at or near Peña Lisa, Condoto.

Types	Holotype: BMNH 1946.1.17.19, a 230 mm female (H.G.F. Spurrell).
Diagnosis
Comment	Synonymy after that of PETERS & OREJAS-MIRANDA 1970. Venomous!
Etymology	Spurrelli is named after H. G. F. Spurrell, fellow of the Zoological Society of London, an avid collector of amphibians and reptiles in South America, including this holotype.
