Subspecies: Naja annulifera anchietae BOCAGE 1879 has been elevated to species status by BROADLEY & WÜSTER (2004):

Reproduction: oviparous.

EtymologyNamed after the diminutive form (“annul-”) of Latin “anus” = ring and the verb “fero, ferre” = carry.
