Type locality: Dokfuma, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea, 05° 01’ S, 141° 06’ E, elevation 3200 m.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Lobulia stellaris differs from all other species of Lobulia in having the following combination of characters: window in lower eyelid somewhat variable in size, opacity and scaliness; supralabials posterior to the subocular supralabial two; longitudinal scale rows at midbody >32, and anterior edge of the external ear opening smooth, without lobules. 
Comment 
EtymologyNamed after the high altitude distribution of the species (close to the stars, Latin “stellaris”) and after its occurrence in the Star Mountains of Papua New Guinea.
