Diagnosis 
CommentSee comment in Zhao & Adler 1993 for discussion of priority issues. Acanthosaura fruhstorferi WERNER 1904 has been considered as a synonym of Pseudocalotes brevipes but has been relegated to Acanthosaura lepidogaster. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “brevis, -e” = short and “pes, pedis” = foot.
