Type locality: Indonesia, Sumatra Island, Province of Sumatera Barat, Padang  
TypesHolotype: MSNG 55461, female; 1-15.IV.1894, leg. E. Modigliani. 
CommentThe holotype was found, together with P. cfr. eiselti MSNG 55460, in the stomach of a specimen of Macropisthodon rhodomelas (Boie, 1827) MSNG 54627. 
EtymologyThe specific epithet honors Elio Modigliani (1860-1932) who explored Sumatra, Nias, Engano and Mentawai and collected the type series.
