Type locality: Betsileo, Madagascar.

TypesSyntypes: BMNH 1881.3.29.13 and BMNH 1881.3.29.14 (= 1946.1.12.33-34) 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A Pseudoxyrhopus with 21 rows of dorsal scales at midbody, 8 supralabials, a somewhat pointed snout which projects considerably forward of lower jaw tip, and 5 dorsal longitudinal lines on body.
