Type locality: evergreen forest at 940 m elevation above the Chididi Police Post on the top of Malawi Hill, Natundu Hills Range, 16°55’13’’S, 33°11’50’’E.  
TypesHolotype: BMNH 1988.399, adult male; Paratypes: NHMUK 1988.400–405, two males and four females.
