Type locality: “Dakar, Senegambia”

laterimaculatus: Type locality: Ain Sefra, algerische Sahara.  
Reproductionoviparous (phylogenetic imputation, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: BMNH 1946.8.13.60 (formerly 89.10.18.1), Dakar, Senegambia, purchased E. Gerrard junior. Status unclear fide P. Campbell, pers. comm., March 2019.
Syntypes: NMW 10377:4, Ain Sefra, Algerian Sahara, Werner, 1910; 33140, same data (previously Inst. Zool., Univ. Wien 718, 1461 respectively); UMMZ 67159 (2 specimens), Ain Sefra, Algeria, purchased F. Werner, viii.1910 [laterimaculatus] 
Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Not in Morocco but found close to the border, hence possibly in Morroco too (Martínez et al. 2019, and pers. comm. 18 Jan 2021). See map in Seufer et al. 2022.
