Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Jean-Luc Perret (b. 1925), a herpetologist who concentrates on African amphibians. He was also Honorary Curator, Department of Herpetology and Ichthyology, Museum d'Histoire Naturelle, Geneva, where he was previously a Research Assistant (1970-1987).
