Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly after CEI 1993. HOGE et al. (1975) revalidated L. nattereri. However, subsequent authors still considered it as synonym of L. histricus.

EtymologyNamed after Johannes Natterer (1787-1843), ornithologist, and custos at the Natural History Cabinet in Vienna, and collector of the type. See Bastos & Sa 2011 for further biographical details.
