DiagnosisDiagnosis: Gehyra mccoyi sp. nov. can be distinguished from all other Melanesian Gehyra by the following combination of characters: size moderate (maximum Svl 80 mm); subdigital lamellae undivided; 13–16 subdigital lamellae under fourth toe scansor; webbing between t3 and t4 present, obvious; head relatively depressed (hD/ Svl 0.10–0.12, hD/hl 0.41–0.47); scales on dorsal surfaces irregular in size, not arranged in rows, and on nape including areas where granules are not in contact and underlying skin layers are clearly visible; scales around midpoint of venter rounded or at least with rounded posterior edges, not arranged in regular rows; medial subcaudal scales not enlarged; and in males 29–31 pores arranged in continuous chevron bordered anteriorly by series of rounded scales.
