DiagnosisDiagnosis: Hemidactylus aravalliensis sp. nov. differs from all its congeners by the following combination of characteristics: SVL up to 65 mm; dorsal scalation on trunk granular, intermixed with slightly enlarged, regularly arranged transverse rows of 14 oval, feebly keeled or sub-trihedral tubercles; original tail lacks any enlarged tubercles; subcaudal scales in single median series or in a series made up of two enlarged suboval scale, two subcaudal scales in each tail segment; midbody scale rows across belly 36–42; 9–10 lamellae on digit I of manus and 10–11 on digit IV of manus; 8–9 lamellae on digit I of pes and 12–14 on digit IV of pes; 11–12 supralabials, 8–10 infralabials; males with 3–8 precloacal pores.
