| Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Hemiphyllodactylus jingdongensis sp. nov. can be distinguished from its known congeners by a combination of the following characters: maximum SVL of 43.72 mm; 7–9 chin scales; enlarged postmentals; 5 circumnasal scales; 1 or 2 internasal scales; 8 or 9 supralabial scales; 8 or 9 infralabial scales; dorsal scales 11–13; ventral scales 8 or 9; a manual lamellar formula of 3(4)–4(5)–(4–6)–4(5) and a pedal lamellar formula of 4–5–5(6)–5; 19–22 precloacal and femoral pore–bearing scales contiguous in males; 1 or 2 cloacal spur on each side; the color of the back of the body is light-grayish and brown; dark postorbital stripes present; dorsolateral light–colored spots on trunk absent; dark and irregular dorsal transverse blotches; ventrolateral stripe on trunk absent; a dark postsacral mark bearing anteriorly projecting arms and transverse spots on the back of the tail present, which are dark in color.
