| Etymology | Named after Chinese 金 江, the abbreviated Chinese name of the upper Yangtze River and it means “golden-river”, hence named after its distribution along the upper Jinsha River in Yunnan and possibly Sichuan Province. This epithet is treated as a noun in apposition. |
