Type locality: El Volcán, Cajón del Maipo, Andean Range, 33°49’S, 70°10’W, alt. 1416 m, 60 km SE (roadline) Santiago.

TypesHolotype: MNHNC 2000 (= MNHNCL HERP fide Nuñez 2015), originally LCUC (= Laboratorio de Citogenética, Facultatd de Ciencias, Universidad de Chile, 982.
Paratypes: LCUC, MZUC, MCZ 
DiagnosisDiagnosis. Robust lizards; snout-vent length of adults 8.44-9.71 cm; 34-37 gular scales (from mental to gular fold); 27-30 loreal scales; 5-6 rows of scales between ciliary and circumorbital rows; 30-33 scales between infralabials on a line at level of middle of eyes; ground color dark gray; dorsal head scales with light borders; on dorsum several transverse light bands; ventral color light gray with red on venter, limbs and cloacal region.
