EtymologyNamed after Latin stria = groove, often for stripe or line.

Eremias hoehneli was named after “Mr. Chanler’s traveling companion, Lieut. von Hoehnel, of the Imperial Austrian Navy, who has also done part of the collecting.” (now a synonym)
