Type locality: Gamamiya, Bayuda Desert, Sudan,
Africa (19°27’18.3’’ N 32°48’40.5’’ E).  
Reproductionoviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: ZISP 28540, subadult male collected on 25 of November 2007 by Jan ŚMIEŁOWSKI (Fig. 2). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A large, short legged, chocolate-red colored species of Pseudotrapelus with white ocelli on the dorsum (up to 8 dorsal scales per white ocelli, each white ocelli with dark chocolate red marbling), with the 3rd toe longer than the 4th, with 16 lamellae under the 4th toe, with 6 unseparated well developed precloacal pores in males, and with no enlarged scales in the occipital area of the head and dorsum.
