        | Etymology | The specific epithet, stigmatoral, is an noun in apposition formed from the Greek noun stigma, -tos, meaning spot, and the Latin noun toral, -alis, meaning valance. The name refers to the ventrolaterally positioned spots characteristic of this species. |
