| Comment | S. tridigitus differs from most species of Sphenomorphus by having the upper temporal scale overlapping the lower one (instead of the opposite condition). |
| Etymology | Presumably from the Latin tres (three) plus digitus (digit), referring to the tridactyle limbs. |
