| Comment | Only known from its holotype, collected in 1911. Distribution: the type is said to be from around Darwin, but “Paul Horner, former curator from NT museum, spent many decades looking for Tympanocryptis in and around Darwin but never found any” (J. Melville, pers. comm., 13 Feb 2026), so the origin of this species is dubious. |
