CommentAbundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after Jose Lautaro Yañez-Valenzuela (b. 1951), a zoologist, herpetologist, and marine mammalogist at Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Chile.
