CommentDistribution: A. (nitens) brasiliensis probably also in Bolivia (fide LANGSTROTH 2005).

Species group: Norops auratus Species Group (fide Nicholson et al. 2012)

Fonseca et al. 2024 used a convolutional neural network (CNN) to show that geographic distance is the sole predictor of genetic variation in N. brasiliensis.
