CommentSynonymy: McDiarmid & DeWeese (1977) consider B. blairi as valid species, after Dixon (1973) has synonymized it with B. pallidiceps. The only clear difference seems to be a bright dorsolateral stripe in pallidiceps that is missing from blairi.

Distribution: see map in Ribeiro-Júnior et al. 2016: 153 (Fig. 4). Not listed for Costa Rica by KÖHLER (2000). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin “pallidus” = pale or yellow(ish) and “-ceps”, short suffix for “caput” = head.
