CommentLimb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014) 
EtymologyFrom the Latin rutilus (shiny red) plus the suffix -ans (condition of), referring to the coloration. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
