Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Differs from all other species in the following combination of characters: rostral sutures converging on dorsum of snout to form median suture in younger specimens but these reduced to remnant grooves at edges of rostral pad or lost entirely in older specimens; midbody scale rows 18-19, and subcaudals 59-61 (Greer 1985: 151).
