DiagnosisDIAGNOSIS. A species of Geophis with smooth dorsal scales in 15 rows and an anterior temporal; differs from only other known species with these characteristics (maculiferus) in having two postoculars instead of one, six or seven lower labials instead of five, no light color on snout, and anterior edges of the ventrals dark (DUELLMAN 1959: 3).

CommentDistribution: Known only from the type locality, fide Wilson 2007. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin incomptus, unadorned, inelegant, artless, rude. [“...The second species has a dark, unicolor dorsum; since it has no trace ol a variegated color pattern, it may be known as: Geophis incomptus, new species...”].
