CommentDistribution: The presence of this species outside Myanmar has been questioned (ZUG et al. 2007). Specimens from NE India (Assam, Toungoo) appear to be misidentifications (MAHONY & ZUG 208). 
EtymologyNamed after the Karens, a hill tribe in Myanmar (Beolens et al. 2011).
