DistributionCuba (from Pinar del Rio east, but primarily E Cuba)

macropus: SE coast from Bahia de Santiago east at least to Sierra del Purial north of Cajobabo; presumably inland to type-locaiity in Sierra del Guaso; Isla de la Juventud? Type locality: Eastern Cuba; restricted by Stejneger, 1917, to Monte Verde, Guantánamo Province, Cuba.

aegialus: northern coastal Camagüey Province.

asbolomus: northeastern coast of Guantânamo Province, west to Holguin Province.

felinoi: north coastal Matanzas Province.

hoplites: northern Ciego de Âvila Province.

hyacinthurus: Sierra de Escambray.

immaculatus: southeastern coast from Rio Magdalena east to Bahia de Santiago; Cayo Damas.

koopmani: Peninsula de Guanahacabibes.

lenticulatus: coastal hills west of Gibara, Holguin Province. Type locality: “arenal Los Cocos, a seis km de Gibara”

phylax: southwestern Granma Province, from Verre6n east to Rio Puercos and Punta Hicacos.

torrei: along Rio Paredones, Matanzas Province.

INCERTAE SEDIS: Material from the following localities has not been assigned to subspecies: Niquero, Cayo Saetia, Pinares de Mayari, Sierra de Nipe, Cupeyai, all in eastern Cuba; Miranda, Santiago de Cuba Province; Rangel, Pinar del Rio Province; Punta Hicacos, Matanzas Province.
