DistributionAngola, W Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire), Tanzania (Usambara, Magrotto, Uluguru Mountains), Kenya (BROADLEY in Afr. J. Herp. 51: 147-151, 2002).

Type locality: Ambriz, and Ambrizette, Angola.

TypesLectotype: BMNH 1946.1.14.40 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Nostril pierced at the posterior edge of the nasal and bordered by a smaller postnasal which is in broad contact with the first supralabial. Dorsal scales with single apical pits in 15-15-15 rows; ventrals 144-165 in males, 150-174 in females; subcaudals 30-36 in males, 21-28 in females (Broadley 1996: 11).
