gutturalis: Guinea-Bissau etc.; Type locality: Bissao, Portuguese-Guinea (= Guinea-Bissau).

paurospilus: Tanzania; Type locality: Haute Lubitshako (1900-2000 m elevation), Terr. de Fizi, Kivu, SE DRC, (about -4° 16' 25.80", +28° 56' 26.65").

CommentSynonymy: Broadley 1983 (AHN 2: 2) considered Lygodactylus angularis dysmicus as a synonym of L. gutturalis but Lobón-Rovira et al. 2023 elevated it to full species status. Lobón-Rovira et al. 2023 also split up L. gutturalis into a number of new species and restricted the range of gutturalis.
