Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018). 
EtymologyNamed after Latin pulcher, pretty; beautiful and Latin -ceps, -headed. [“...Top of head dark brown, with numerous paler brown marks within the margin of each scale...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
