DiagnosisDiagnosis (as Paralaudakia). Head and body depressed; flower-shaped formation of enlarged scales on anterior side of head; olivaceous with irregular black spots; scales on the body and tail with strong ridges and spines, several vertical rows of highly enlarged spinose scales; no patch on flanks; dorsolateral-fold marked with en- larged spinose scales with distinct high ridges; tail segment of three; callous glands present [BAIG et al. 2012].

Distribution: not in Kazakhstan fide Dujsebayeva (2010 and pers. comm., 6 Feb 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after Alexander Lehmann, a Russian biologist of German descent who traveled to Turkestan as a member of a Russian expedition (1839-1842).
