Type locality: Western slope of El Yunque de Baracoa, above Tabojó, 15 km W Baracoa, Guantánamo Province, Cuba.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after its preference for bromeliads.
