lionotus: Uganda, Kenya. Type locality: Southeast of Lake Rudolf, Gallaland (= Kenya)

usambarae: Tanzania (Usambara Mountains). Type locality: Soni, Usambara Mountains, Tanzania.

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Agama agama usambarae has been synonymized with A. lionotus by WAGNER 2007. Agama agama turuensis LOVERIDGE 1932 has been revalidated by WAGNER et al. 2008.
