Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Introduced to Middle America from Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands. Anolis lindeni has been reported from Brazil (type locality Santarém). However, its holotype (MCZ 8306) was probably mislabelled and the species doesn’t occur in Brazil (Avila-Pires 1995). The type locality of the nominate form has been erroneously given as “Martinique”. Listed for Mexico with a question mark by KÖHLER 2000. Not in Yucatan state (Mexico) according to GONZÁLEZ-SÁNCHEZ et al. 2017. Not on Isla Mona (Rodriguez-Robles et al 2007).

Ecomorph class: trunk-ground.

Species group: Ctenonotus cristatellus species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
