Comment 
EtymologyHeteropus Schlegelii was named after Hermann Schlegel (1804-1884), German herpetologist. H. leucotaenia was named after the white (Greek “leukos”) dorsalateral and mid-lateral stripes (Greek “tainia” = ribbon).
