Type locality: Bore, Kemp Welch River,13 km SE of Kwikila, Central Province, Papua New Guinea.  
Reproductionoviparous.

CommentHabitat: freshwater (rivers, swamps) 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Peter Charles Howard Pritchard (b. 1943), a British herpetologist and conservationist who founded, and is head of, the privately funded Chelonian Research Institute.
