DistributionN/C Myanmar (Kachin), perhaps adjacent India and Bangladesh.

Type locality: Kachin State, Myanmar  
Reproductionoviparous. 
TypesHolotype: MTD D 42578 = Museum of Zoology Dresden (= MTKD), obtained 2000 from M. Reimann via international pet-trade, adult female). 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Adult: Dark coloured, resembling C. enigmatica but light crown of the head in life with distinct greenish-yellow tinge. Palate and tongue of specimens in alcohol grey. Hatchling: Unknown. For maximum size and comparison with diagnostic characters of other species, see Table 3 in FRITZ et al. 2008. 
CommentHabitat: freshwater (Rivers, swamps) 
EtymologyThe Latin species name fusca, brown, is chosen in allusion to the general colouration of adult specimens.
