Holotype: ZFMK 46741, female [kinabaluensis] 
DiagnosisDiagnosis. Cyrtodactylus consobrinus can be distinguished from other Cyrtodactylus by a combination of the following characters: maximum SVL of at least 114 mm; –13 supralabials; 8– 10 infralabials; moderate tuberculation on dorsal surface of body; no keeled ventral scales; 32–44 dorsal tubercles in a paravertebral rows; 13–20 longitudinal tubercle rows; 52–68 longitudinal rows of ventral scales; 23–26 subdigital lamellae on fourth toe; 0–7 femoral pores; often enlarged femoral scales; 5–10 precloacal pores; pit-like precloacal depression present; jagged-edged dorsal body bands; rostral chevron; and single row of enlarged caudal scales.
