On Nui Co To Mountain Cyrtodactylus septimontium sp. nov. was also recorded mostly on large granite rocks at elevations 350 – 450 m a.s.l., where it was found in sympatry with Cyrtodactylus grismeri and Cnemaspis tucdupensis.
EtymologyThe specific epithet, septimontium, is a noun in apposition in reference to a Latinization of the Vietnamese name for the hill range Bảy Núi meaning the “Seven Mountains”.
