Type locality: Gorontalo, Celebes (= Sulawesi); restricted to Borongan, Samar Island by Meise & Hennig (1932) [invalid, no lectotype]; re-restricted to Gorontalo, Celebes by Leviton 1968.

CommentSexual dimorphism. On average, males have 172 ventral scales whereas females have 178 ventral scales (F = 9.6; df = 1; p = 0.03). In addition, females grow larger than males [VAN ROOIJEN & VOGEL 2012].

Behavior: diurnal

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018)

Distribution: Not in the Philippines fide Leiton et al. 2018, although reported from there, e.g. by Taylor 1922.
