DistributionWest China (Sinjian, Kashgaria, southern slopes of Tien Shan, piedmont plains and foothills of Kunlun and eastern Pamir); Kyrgyzstan (East Alai)

Type locality: town Yarkend, Kashgaria, China (Xinjiang-Uyghur Autonomous region).

Diagnosis 
CommentThis species has been previously considered as a synonym of E. buechneri or E.

multiocellata.

Habitat: Mountain species, populate of semiarid and arid rocky slopes to 3000 m elevation. 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
