Comment 
EtymologyNamed after Captain Francis G. Engle (1888-1974) of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey (1907-). Taylor wrote, "Captain Engle extended me innumerable courtesies while I was on his ship and assisted me greatly in making collections on the Mindanao coast."
