Type locality: Si-Rambé Forest, N Sumatra.  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: MSNG 32191, male, collected by Dr. Elio Modigliani in 1891 (Capocaccia 1961). 
Diagnosis 
CommentAbundance: only known from the type specimen and 2 additional specimens found in 2018 (Meiri et al. 2017, Putra et al. 2020).

Putra et al. 2020 provide an english translation of the original description in Italian. 
Etymologynamed after Dr. Elio Modigliani.
